AMENDMENT TO SUSPENSION OF SENTENCE ON PAROLE

RULES, 1981.

In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (5) of Section

432 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (Central Act 2 of 1974) the

Governor of Telangana hereby makes the following amendment to the

Suspension of Sentence on Parole Rules, 1981 issued in G.O.Ms.No. 647,

Home (Prisons-C), dt: 23-10-1981 and as amended from time to time.

AMENDMENT

In the said Rules;

In rule 1, after clause (c), the following clause shall be added namely:-

d)

When a women convict prisoner apply for parole, the Superintendent

of the concerned Prison basing on the medical advice of Jail Medical

Officer and medical reports shall consider to make arrangements

for grant of Parole/Emergency leave up to a period of six (6) months

to the eligible pregnant women convict prisoner irrespective of the

period of sentence undergone in Prison to avail parole prior to the

due date of delivery and after delivery, subject to the other conditions

laid down in the Suspension of Sentence on Parole Rules, 1981.
