INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO PRESIDENT OF KERAMERI MANDAL PRAJA PARISHAD IN

KUMARMBHEEM ASIFABAD DISTRICT AND KODANGAL MANDAL PRAJA PARISHAD IN

VIKARABAD DISTRICT.

No.24/TSEC-PR/2018.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution of India

and Sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act No.5 of 2018), and Rule 13 of Telangana

Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad and Co-opted

Members, Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued in G.O.Ms.No.27, PR &

Rd (PTS.III) Dept., dtd: 19.05.2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the Collector and

District Election Authority, Kumarmbheem Asifabad to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct

election to the casual vacancy of President of kerameri Mandal Praja Parishad in Kumarmbheem Asifabad

District and the Collector and District Election Authority, Vikarabad District to authorize a Gazetted Officer of the

Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy of President of Kodangal Mandal Praja Praishad in

Vikarabad District in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the

election to the said office in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

Note: In the event of a vacancy in the office of an elected member of Mandal Praja Parishad occurs for

any reason after the issue of President, Mandal Praja Parishad casual election notification by the State

Election Commission, the election to the office of President shall not stalled and shall be conducted as

per the schedule.

Note:

If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 13.08.2018, it shall be

held at 11.00 AM on the next day i.e, on 14.08.2018 whether or not it is observed

as a holiday by the Mandal Praja Parishad concerned.
