APPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL OFFICERS TO THE GRAM PANCHAYATS IN MEDCHAL- MALKAJGIRI

DISTRICT UNDER TELANGANA PANCHAYAT RAJ ACT, 2018.

Whereas, the term of the elected Members and Sarpanches of most of the Gram Panchayats will expire by

01-08-2018;

And Whereas, the term of the Members and Sarpanches of some of the Gram Panchayats will expire after

01-08-2018;

And Whereas, the Government, or as the case may be, an officer authorized by the Government, is empowered

under sub-section (3) of Section 136 of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act No.5 of 2018) to appoint a

Special Officer or a Person incharge or a Committee of Persons incharge to the Gram Panchayats; to exercise the

powers, and perform the functions of the Gram Panchayat and its Sarpanch under Sub-section (4) thereof until the

Members and the Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat elected assume office;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 136 of the Telangana

Panchayat Raj Act., 2018, the Government hereby appoint the officer as per annexure to this order as Special

Officers for the Gram Panchayats indicated therein with effect from 02-08-2018, where the term of the Gram

Panchayats will expire on 01-08-2018 till the date of assumption of office of the members and Sarpanches of Gram

Panchayats elected in accordance with due process. The Special Officers so appointed shall take the charge of the

office immediately after expiry of the term of the elected members and Sarpanches of the Gram Panchayats i.e. on

the A.N. of 01-08-2018.
