INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO PRESIDENT OF KATHALAPUR MPP IN JAGITIAL DISTRICT AND

VICE PRESIDENT OF PEDDEMUL MPP IN VIKARABAD DISTRICT.

No.24/TSEC-PR/2018.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution of India

and Sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act No.5 of 2018), and Rule 13 of Telangana

Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad and Co-opted

Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairpersons of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued in G.O.Ms.No.27, PR &

RD (PTS.III) Dept., dtd: 19.05.2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the Collectors and

District Election Authorities concerned, to authorise a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the

casual vacancies of President and Vice-Presidents as specified below in accordance with the procedure laid

down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the said offices in the Annexure appended this to

Notification.

Note: In the event of a vacancy in the office of an elected member of Mandal Praja Parishad occurs for

any reason after the issue of President casual election notification by the State Election Commission, the

election to the office of President shall not stalled and shall be conducted as per the schedule.

Parishad in Vikarabad District.

(This notice should be given to the members specified in clauses (i) to (vi) of Sub-

Section (1) of Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 atleast three clear days in advance

of the date of the meeting fixed for the said election)
