GENERAL ELECTIONS TO 119 ASSEMBLY CONSTITUENCY OF 31 DISTRICTS OF THE TELANGANA

STATE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY, 2018 – DECLARED PAID HOLIDAY ON THE DAY OF POLING

i.e. 07-12-2018 (FRIDAY) UNDER THE TELANGANA FACTORIES AND ESTABLISHMENTS

( NATIONAL, FESTIVAL AND OTHER HOLIDAYS) ACT, 1974 (ACT No. 32/1974) AND THE

TELANGANA SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENTS ACT, 1988 (ACT No. 20/1988) READ WITH THE

PROVISIONS LAID DOWN IN SECTION 135-B OF THE REPRESENTATION OF PEOPLES

ACT, 1951.

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Telangana Factories and

Establishments (National, Festival and Other Holidays) Act, 1974 (Act No. 32/1974) and the Telangana Shops &

Establishments Act, 1988 (Act No. 20/1988), read with the provisions laid down in Section 135-B of the Representation

of Peoples Act, 1951. Government of Telangana hereby declare paid holiday to all the employees / workers working

in the Factories, Shops & Establishments and Industrial Undertakings / Establishments on the day of poling i.e.

07-12-2018 (Friday) so as to enable the electorate to exercise their vote for the General Elections to 119 Assembly

Constituency of 31 Districts of the Telangana State Legislative Assembly, 2018, as the case may be, if there is no

holiday.

The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad & the Director of Factories, Telangana, Hyderabad

shall take further necessary action, accordingly.
