INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO THE CASUAL VACANCIES OF PRESIDENT OF METPALLY MPP,

VICE-PRESIDENT OF KODIMIAL MPP IN JAGTIAL DISTRICT AND PRESIDENT OF

CHIGURUMAMIDI MPP IN KARIMNAGAR DISTRICT.

Lr.No.24/TSEC-PR/2018 -8.– In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution of

India and Sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018, (Act 5 of 2018), and Rule 13 of Telangana

Conduct of Election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad and Co-opted

Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued in G.O.Ms.No.27, PR &

RD (PTS.III) Dept., dtd: 19.05.2018, the State Election Commisioner, Telangana, hereby, directs the Collectors &

District Election Authorities of Jagtial and Karimnagar Districts to authorise a Gazetted Officer of the Government

to conduct election to the casual vacancies of Presidents and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishads specified

below in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the

said offices in the Annexure appended to this Notification.

NOTE: In the event of a vacancy in the office of an elected member of Mandal Praja Parishad occurs for

any reason after the issue of President and Vice-President casual election notification by the State Election

Commission, the election to the office of President and Vice-President shall not stalled and shall be

conducted as per the schedule.

Note:

If for any reason election to the said offices is not held on 31.12.2018, it shall be

held at 11.00 AM on the next day i.e, on 01.01.2019 whether or not it is observed

Collectors of Jagtial and Karimnagar calling for a special meeting for election to the

casual vacancies in the office of President of Metpally MPP, Vice-President

of Kodimial MPP in Jagtial District and President of Chigurumamidi MPP

in Karimnagar District. (This notice should be given to the members specified in

clauses (i) to (vi) of Sub-Section (1) of Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 at least

three clear days in advance of the date of the meeting fixed for the said election)
