GENERAL ELECTIONS TO HOUSE OF THE PEOPLE (LOK SABHA), 2019 IN ONE PHASE FOR 17

PARLIAMENTARY-CONSTITUENCIES OF ALL DISTRICTS OF THE TELANGANA STATE-

DECLARED PAID HOLIDAY ON THE DAY OF POLING I.E., 11-04-2019 (THURSDAY) UNDER THE

TELANGANA FACTORIES AND ESTABLISHMENTS (NATIONAL, FESTIVAL AND OTHER HOLI-

DAYS) ACT, 1974 (ACT NO. 32/1974) AND THE TELANGANA SHOPS AND ESTABLISHMENTS ACT,

1988 (ACT NO. 20/1988).

In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (2) of Section 3 of the Telangana Factories and

Establishments (National, Festival and Other Holidays) Act, 1974 (Act No. 32/1974) and the Telangana Shops and

Establishments Act, 1988 (Act No. 20/1988), read with the provisions laid down in Section 135-B of the Representation

of Peoples Act, 1951, Government of Telangana hereby declares paid holiday to all the employees/ workers

working in the Factories Shops & Establishments and Industrial Undertakings/Establishments on the day of poling

i.e., 11-04-2019 (Thursday) so as to enable the electorate to exercise their vote for the General Elections to House

of the People (Lok Sabha), 2019 in one phase for 17 Parliamentary Constituencies of all Districts of the Telangana

State, as the case may be, if there is no holiday.

The Commissioner of Labour, Telangana, Hyderabad & the Director of Factories, Telangana, Hyderabad

shall take further necessary action, accordingly.
