EMPOWERING THE ADDITIONAL DISTRICT AND SESSIONS JUDGES COURTS AND ADDITIONAL

METROPOLITAN SESSIONS JUDGES COURTS FUNCTIONING OUTSIDE THE DISTRICT

HEADQUARTERS OR METROPOLITAN HEADQUARTERS, AS THE CASE MAY BE, IN THE STATE

OF TELANGANA, TO ENTERTAIN AND DISPOSE OF THE BAIL APPLICATIONS, BOTH AT PRE

AND POST COMMITTAL STAGES, WITHOUT REFERENCE TO THE PRINCIPAL DISTRICT AND

SESSIONS / METROPOLITAN SESSIONS COURTS.

In exercise of the powers conferred under Article 227 of Constitution of India, the High Court for the State of

Telangana, Hyderabad, hereby empower Additional District and Sessions Judges Courts and Additional Metropolitan

Sessions Judges Courts functioning outside the District Headquarters or Metropolitan Headquarters, as the case may

be, in the State of Telangana, to entertain and dispose of the Bail Applications, both at pre and post committal stages,

without reference to the Principal District and Sessions/Metropolitan Sessions Courts.

Where there are more than one Additional Sessions Courts / Additional Metropolitan Sessions Courts outside

the District Headquarters / Metropolitan Headquarters, the Court of Senior most Additional Sessions Judge / Additional

Metropolitan Sessions Judge is empowered to receive and allot the Bail Applications among the other Courts of

Additional Sessions/Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judges, as the case may be.
