ORDINARY ELECTIONS TO URBAN LOCAL BODIES, 2020 - INDIRECT ELECTIONS.
No. 145/TSEC-ULBs/2020:– In exercise of the powers conferred by Sections 194(1) and 195 (5) read
with Section 20 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019 (Act No. 11 of 2019) and the rules relating to the Telangana
Municipalities and Municipal Corporations (Conduct of Election of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Municipal
Council and Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporation) Rules, 2020, the State Election Commission,
hereby, directs that, a Gazetted officer of the Government specifically authorized by the District Collector for this
purpose, shall conduct elections to the offices of Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Municipalities and Mayor
and Deputy Mayor of Municipal Corporations indicated in Annexure-II in accordance with the procedure laid down
in the said Act and Rules and as per the Schedule in the Annexure-I appended to this Notification.
