PROHIBITION OF STRIKES IN ALL SERVICES IN NATIONAL THERMAL POWER CORPORATION

LIMITED IN TELANGANA STATE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE TELANGANA

ESSENTIAL SERVICES MAINTENANCE ACT, 1971 (ACT 20 OF 1971) FOR A FURTHER

PERIOD OF (6) MONTHS W.E.F. 21-01-2020.

In the G.O.Rt.No.50, Energy (HR.A1) Department, Date: 30-8-2019, Government have expended prohibition

of strikes in public interest in any services in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited in Telangana State as

an essential service under the provisions of the Telangana Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971,

(A.P. Act No.20 of 1971) for a period of six (6) months w.e.f. 21-07-2019.

In the circumstances reported by the Manager (HR), NTPC Limited and after careful consideration of the

matter, Government is satisfied that it is necessary and expendient to prohibit strikes in public interest in any

services in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited in Telangana State for a further period of six (6) months

w.e.f. 21-01-2020;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) & (3) of Section 3 of the Telangana

Essential Services Maintenance Act, 1971 (Act 20 of 1971), Government of Telangana hereby prohibits strikes in

all the services under the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited for a further period of six (6) months

with effect from 21-01-2020.
