CERTAIN AMENDMENTS TO THE TELANGANA MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION SERVICE RULES,

1990.

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to article 309 of the Constitution of India read with

section 238 and sub-section (3) of Section 299 of the Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019, (Telangana Act No.11 of

2019) the Government hereby make the following amendment to the Telangana Municipal Administration Service

Rules, 1990, issued in G.O.Ms.No.109, Housing, Municipal Administration and Urban Development (L1) Department,

Dated: 17.02.1990 as Subsequently amended from time to time.

AMENDMENTS

In rules 2, in the table there under,

(i)

Against category (VI) “Municipal Commissioner Grade-II” in column (2) “Method of Appointment”

for item (vi), the following item shall be substituted, namely;-

“(vi) By appointment/by transfer of Assistant Section Officer of Telangana Secretariat except Law

and Finance Department who acquires Special Grade Promotion (SGP) scale.”

(ii)

The rotation cycle of 12 vacancies provide under the table, for item (ix), substitute the following,

namely;-

“By appointment by transfer of Assistant Section Officer of Telangana Secretariat except Law and

Finance Department, who acquires Special Grade Promotion (SGP) scale.”
