In exercise of powers conferred by Section 36 AB (1) of Drugs and Cosmetics
Act, 1940, the Government of Telangana, in consultation with the Chief Justice, High
Court for the State of Telangana, hereby designates the Courts of Principal District
and Sessions Judges in all the Districts and the Courts of Metropolitan Sessions
Judges in the Metropolitan Sessions Divisions at Hyderabad, Rangareddy,
Medchal-Malkajgiri as Special Courts in supersession of earlier notifications issued in
this regard, from the date of publication of the Notification, for trial of offences relating
to Adulterated Drugs or Spurious Drugs and punishable under clause (a) and (b) of
Section 13, Sub-section (3) of Section 22 Clause (a) and (c) of Section 27, Section
28, Section 28A, Section 28B and Clause (b) of Sub Section (1) of Section 30 and
other offences relating to adulterated drugs or spurious drugs arising from the
respective Sessions Divisions and the said Courts shall exercise jurisdiction over the
said Sessions Division.

PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS ACT, 1993.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 30 of the Protection of Human Rights Act,
1993 (Central Act No.10 of 1994), the Government of Telangana, with the concurrence of the
Chief Justice, High Court for the State of Telangana, hereby specify the following Courts

DRUGS AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES ACT, 1985.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 36 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances Act, 1985 (Act No.61 of 1985), and read with Clause (J) of Section 2 of Code of
Criminal Procedure Code 1973, and after consultation with the High Court for the State of
Telangana, the Government of Telangana, hereby designates the following Courts mentioned in
Column No.(2) of the table below as “Special Courts” to deal with the cases filed under Narcotic
Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, even if such cases includes offences punishable
under the Indian Penal Code, 1860 or and any other enactment of such offences from part of same
transaction, duly following the procedure prescribed under Section 36 A and 36 C of Narcotic Drugs
and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (Amended Act 2 of 1988) in the State of Telangana over

OF TELANGANA AS “SPECIAL COURTS” TO TRY CASES UNDER TELANGANA PANCHAYAT
RAJ ACT, 2018 (ACT 5 OF 2018).

In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 27(1) of the Telangana
Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act 5 of 2018) the Government, in consultation with the High
