INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO THE POST OF UPA-SARPANCH OF DAMARCHERLA GRAM PANCHAYAT

OF DAMARCHERLA MANDAL IN NALGONDA DISTRICT AND PEDDAPUR GRAM PANCHAYAT

OF ATMAKUR MANDAL IN HANUMAKONDA DISTRICT.

No. 21/ TSEC-PR/2022-5:- In exercise of the powers conferred under Section 196 and 197 and Sub-

section (9) of Section 15 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 and read with second and third provisos of

Rule 3 (1) and 7 of Telangana Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Elections to Upa-Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat)

Rules, 2018, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana hereby, directs the District Panchayat Officer, Nalgonda

and Hanumakonda Districts to authorize a person who shall be not below the rank of Revenue Inspector to

conduct election to the casual vacancies in the office of Upa-Sarpanch of (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat,

Damarcherla Mandal in Nalgonda district and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal in

Hanumakonda District, in accordance with the procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule

for the casual election to the said office in Annexure appended to this Notification.

NOTE : If any casual vacancy in the office of member of (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat, Damarcherla

Mandal in Nalgonda District and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal in Hanumakonda District

is occurred before issue of this Notification, Upa-Sarpanch election in (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat,

(ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, should not be conducted and report the matter immediately to the State

Election Commission for further orders. If any such casual vacancy occurs after issue of this notification,

Upa-Sarpanch election shall not be stalled and election shall be conducted as per schedule.

Notice to be given in Form -II by a person authorized by the District Panchayat

Officers concerned calling for a meeting for election to the office of Upa-

Sarpanch of (i) Damarcherla Gram Panchayat (ii) Peddapur Gram

Panchayat. (This notice should be given to the Sarpanch and Ward Members

of all Wards of the Gram Panchayat concerned atleast three clear days prior

to the day of the meeting fixed for the said election)

Panchayat, Damarcherla Mandal in Nalgonda District and (ii) Peddapur Gram Panchayat, Atmakur Mandal

in Hanumakonda District.
