INDIRECT ELECTION TO VICE-PRESIDENT OF PEDDAMANDADI MPP IN WANAPARTHY

DISTRICT.

No. 224/ TSEC-PR/2024-6 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution

of India and Section 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act 5 of 2018), and Rule 13 of

Telangana Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja Parishad

and Co-opted Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018 issued

in G.O.Ms. No. 27, PR & RD (PTS.III) Dept., dtd: 19-05-2018 as amended vide GO Ms No. 11, PR & RD

(MPP & ZPP ADMN) Department, dt. 15-02-2024, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana, hereby,

directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Wanaparthy district to authorize a Gazetted Officer

of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy in the office of Vice-President of

Peddamandadi Mandal Praja Parishad in Wanaparthy district in accordance with the procedure laid

down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the said offices in the Annexure appended to

this Notification.

(Election schedule for conduct of election to the office of Vice-President of

Peddamandadi MPP in Wanaparthy district)

NOTE :-

1.

If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 15-04-2024, it shall be held at 11.00 AM on

the next day i.e., on 16-04-2024 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Mandal Praja

Parishad concerned.

Notice to be given in Form -V by the Gazetted Officer authorized by the

District Collector, Wanaparthy district calling for a special meeting for

election to the casual vacancy in the office of Vice-President of

Peddamandadi Mandal Praja Parishad in Wanaparthy District. (This

notice should be given to the members specified in clauses (i) to (v) of Sub-

Section (1) of Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 atleast three clear days in

advance of the date of the meeting fixed for the said election)
