INDIRECT ELECTIONS TO PRESIDENT OF RAMADUGU MPP IN KARIMNAGAR DISTRICT.

No. 140/ TSEC-PR/2024-2 :- In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 243-K of the Constitution

of India and Sections 196 and 197 of Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018 (Act 5 of 2018), and Rule 13

of Telangana Conduct of election of Co-opted Member, President and Vice-President of Mandal Praja

Parishad and Co-opted Members, Chairperson and Vice-Chairperson of Zilla Praja Parishad Rules, 2018

issued in G.O.Ms. No. 27, PR & RD (PTS.III) Department, dtd: 19-05-2018 as amended vide GO Ms No. 11,

PR & RD (MPP & ZPP ADMN) Department, dt. 15-02-2024, the State Election Commissioner, Telangana,

hereby, directs the Collector and District Election Authority, Karimnagar district to authorise

a Gazetted Officer of the Government to conduct election to the casual vacancy in the office of

President of Ramadugu Mandal Praja Parishad in Karimnagar district in accordance with the

procedure laid down in the said rules and specifies the schedule for the election to the said offices in the

Annexure appended to this Notification.

(Election schedule for conduct of election to the office of President of

Ramadugu MPP in Karimnagar district)

NOTE :-

1.

If for any reason election to the said office is not held on 15-04-2024, it shall be held at 11.00 AM on

the next day i.e., on 16-04-2024 whether or not it is observed as a holiday by the Mandal Praja

Parishad concerned.

Notice to be given in Form -V by the Gazetted Officer authorized by the

District Collector, Karimnagar district calling for a special meeting for

election to the casual vacancy in the office of President of Ramadugu

Mandal Praja Parishad in Karimnagar District. (This notice should be

given to the members specified in clauses (i) to (vi) of Sub-Section (1) of

Section 143 of TPR Act, 2018 atleast three clear days in advance of the

date of the meeting fixed for the said election)
