APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEES RULES, 1987 - AMENDMENT - FINAL NOTIFICATION.

FINAL NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 15 read with Section 153 of the Telangana Charitable and

Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 (Telangana Act No. 30 of 1987), the Government of

Telangana hereby makes the following amendments to the Telangana Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions

and Endowments Appointment of Trustees Rules, 1987, issued in G.O.Ms.No. 258, Revenue (Endts.I) Department,

dt. 31.03.1988.

AMENDMENTS

In the said rules, after rule 8, the following rules shall be added, namely,-

“9.

Festival Committee: Notwithstanding anything in these rules, where there is no regular Board of

Trustees, the Commissioner may constitute a Festival Committee to the Temples on specific occasions

and its number of members shall be the same as that of the Board of Trustees. The qualifications and

disqualifications prescribed in Sections 18 and 19 of the Act, are applicable to these Members.

Residue:

If any of these rules if lying inconsistent with the provisions of the Act, being amended

from time to time, will not override but will only be supplemental to the Act. For that purpose, the rule

shall be ignored as if non est to that extent”.
