NOTIFICATION OF REGISTRATION AUTHORITY AND APPELLATE AUTHORITY UNDER MOTOR

VEHICLES (REGISTRATION AND FUNCTIONS OF VEHICLE SCRAPPING FACILITY) RULES, 2021.

[G.O.Ms.No.21, Transport, Roads and Buildings (TR.I), 3^rd August, 2024.]

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India has issued the Notification No. GSR-

653(E), dated 23rd September, 2021 regarding Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping

Facility) Rules, 2021.

Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred under the said rules, the Government hererby nominate the

Secretary / Principal Secretary / Special Chief Secretary to Government, Transport Department as Appellate Authority

under rule 3(1)(b) and the Transport Commissioner, Government of Telangana as Registration Authority under rule

3(1)(l) of Motor Vehicles (Registration and Functions of Vehicle Scrapping Facility) Rules, 2021.

This notification shall come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

MOTOR VEHICLES RULES, 2021 FOR RECOGNITION, REGULATION AND CONTROL OF

AUTOMATED TESTING STATIONS.

The Central Motor Vehicles (Twenty first Amendment) Rules, 2021 is notified by the Ministry of Road

Transport and Highways, Government of India for Recognition, Regulation and Control of Automated Testing

Station.

Whereas, in exercise of the powers conferred under clause (iv) of sub-rule 1 of Rule 174 and Rule 186 of

Chapter-XI Recognition, Regulation and Control of Automated Testing Stations, Government, hereby nominates

the Transport Commissioner, Government of Telangana as Registering Authority and Secretary / Principal Secretary

/ Special Chief Secretary to Government, Transport Department as Appellate Authority for Recognition, Regulation

and Control of Automated Testing Station.

This notification shall come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
