DRUGS CONTROL ADMINISTRATION - DESIGNATE THE DRUGS CONTROL LABORATORY,

TELANGANA AS STATE MEDICAL DEVICES TESTING LABORATORY (MDTL) AND GOVERNMENT

ANALYSTS AS MEDICAL DEVICE TESTING OFFICERS (MDTO) UNDER MEDICAL DEVICES

RULES, 2017.

I.- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (4) of rule 19 of Medical Devices Rules, 2017, the

Government of Telangana hereby designate Drugs Control Laboratory, Telangana as “State medical Devices

Testing Laboratory” (MDTL) for carrying out tests and evaluation of the following medical devices:

a)

Disposable Hypodermic Syringes

b)

Disposable Hypodermic Needles

c)

Surgical Dressings-Bandage Cloth, Rolled Bandage, Absorbent Cotton, and Cotton Bandage Cloth

d)

Intravenous Cannulae

II.- In exercise of the powers conferred under sub-rule (1) of rule 18 of Medical Devices Rules, 2017, the

Government of Telangana hereby designate the following Government Analysts who were appointed under Section

20 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (Central Act 23 of 1940), as Medical Devices Testing Officers (MDTO)

for carrying out testing and evaluation of Medical Devices samples lifted under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017

made under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (Central Act 23 of 1940):

a)

Smt. N.R. Sangeetha, Senior Scientific Officer and Government Analyst

b)

Sri. Y. Naveen Kumar, Senior Scientific Officer and Government Analyst

c)

Smt. R. Dharmika, Junior Scientific Officer and Government Analyst
