AN
ORDINANCE
further to amend the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973.
WHEREAS the State Legislature is not in session and the Governor is satisfied
that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;
NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of
Article 213 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to promulgate the
following Ordinance:-
1. This Ordinance may be called the Uttar Pradesh State Universities
(Amendment) Ordinance, 2024.

2. (1) In the Uttar Pradesh State Universities Act, 1973 hereinafter referred to
as the "principal Act", in sub-section (1-A) of section 4,-
"(a) In clause (j), for the words and symbol "Maharaja Suhel Dev State
University, Azamgarh" for the words and symbol "Maharaja Suhel Dev University,
Azamgarh" shall be substituted.
(b) In clause (k), for the words and symbol "Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh
State University, Aligarh" for the words and symbol "Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh
University, Aligarh" shall be substituted.
(c) In clause (l), for the words and symbol "Maa Pateshwari Devi State
University, Balrampur" for the words and symbol "Maa Pateshwari University,
Balrampur" shall be substituted.
(d) In clause (m), for the words and symbol "Maa Vindhyavasini State
University, Mirzapur" for the words and symbol "Maa Vindhyavasini University,
Mirzapur" shall be substituted.
