The Notifications read above declaring Dry Days in view of Bye-election to vacant
Ward No. II of Village Panchayat Cana-Benaulim (General) in Salcete Taluka from
04-03-2017 to 06-03-2017 is hereby withdrawn in view of declaration of the candidate for
the said Ward as elected unopposed.

In pursuance of sub-section (8) of Section 7 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Goa
Act 14 of 1994), read with rule 58 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election
Procedure) Rules, 1996, it is hereby notified for the information of the public that the
persons specified in column No. 3 of the Schedule appended hereto have been duly
elected as member of the Panchayat mentioned in the corresponding entry in column
No. 2 from the ward shown against the name in column No. 4 of the said schedule in the
bye-election held on 22-02-2017.
