The following Order of the Governor of Goa, is hereby published for general

information

Whereas a general election has been held for the purpose of constituting a new

Legislative Assembly for the State of Goa;

And Whereas the results of the elections in all the Assembly Constituencies in the

said general election have been declared by Returning Officer concerned;

And Whereas the term of the present Legislative Assembly of the State of

Goa will expire on 18-03-2017;

And Whereas it is deemed expedient to dissolve the present Legislative Assembly

of the State of Goa;

Now, Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (b) of clause (2) of

Article 174 of the Constitution of India, I, Mridula Sinha, Governor of Goa, hereby dissolve

the present Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa, with immediate effect.
