In exercise of the powers conferred on me
under Sections 115 & 116 of the Motor Vehicles
Act, 1988 and as recommended by the Dy. Supdt.
of Police, Traffic (North), Panaji, I, Nila Mohanan,
IAS, District Magistrate, North Goa District, hereby
notify the “BUS STOP” infront of Albuquerque
Apartments on Caetano de Albuquerque Road,
opposite Dada Vaidya Hospital, Panaji-Goa within
the jurisdiction of Corporation of the City of Panaji
in Tiswadi Taluka.
No stage carriage shall take up or set down
passengers except at the place shown as “BUS
STOP”.
No stage carriage shall take halt at the “BUS
STOP” for a period longer than necessary to take
up such passengers who are awaiting when the
vehicles arrive and to set down such passengers
as may wish to alight.
Further, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
me under the provisions of the said Act, I also
authorize the erection of traffic signboards as “BUS
STOP” for the purpose of regulating the motor
vehicular traffic.
Further, in exercise of the powers conferred
upon me under the provisions of the said Act, I
authorize the Commissioner, Corporation of the City
of Panaji to take up the work of developing Bus
Bays & construction of Bus Shed and to erect
sufficient number of traffic signboards on the
road and to paint a box with yellow fluorescent
paint for halting the said bus at the designated
space for the purpose of regulating the motor
vehicular traffic and to report compliance within
fifteen days.
