In exercise of the powers vested in me vide Rule 2(e) of the Goa Panchayat and

Zilla Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, R. K. Srivastava, Commissioner of

Goa State Election Commission, Altinho, Panaji-Goa hereby appoint the Officer

indicated in column No. 2 of the schedule given below as the Returning Officer for

the purpose of conducting the bye-elections to fill up vacancies of Zilla Panchayat

indicated in column No. 4 of the said schedule.

Further, in exercise of the powers vested in me under the said Rule 2 (e), I, R. K.

Srivastava, Commissioner of Goa State Election Commission hereby appoint the

officer indicated in column No. 3 of the said schedule as Assistant Returning Officer

for purpose of conducting the said bye-elections.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me vide Rule 5 of the Goa Panchayat and

Zilla Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, R. K. Srivastava, Commissioner of

Goa State Election Commission hereby notify that the Electoral Roll of the Goa

Legislative Assembly prepared under the provisions of Representation of People

Act, 1950 (Central Act 43 of 1951) for the time being in force as on 1st January, 2017

(published on 19th January, 2017) for such Constituencies of the Assembly or any

part thereof as is included in the areas within the jurisdiction of the Constituency

of the Zilla Panchayat shall be adopted for the purpose of preparation of Electoral

Roll for holding bye-elections to fill up the vacancies of Zilla Panchayat members

of 9–Nuvem and 15–Curtorim of South Goa Zilla Panchayats issued by the Government

vide Notification of delimitation bearing No. 19/35/DP/ELN/2015/(2) dated

18th February, 2015 respectively.
