Notification

No. 25/10/2017-HD(G)/Bye Election (11 & 19-AC)/2164

Whereas in terms of Section 28 A of the Representation of People Act,

1951, the Director General of Police and all Police Officers functioning in

the North Goa Parliamentary Constituency, including the Returning

Officers, Assistant Returning Officers, Presiding Officers, Polling Officers

and any other officer appointed under this part and personnel of Central

Police Forces deployed for Election in the State, are designated as

‘Designated Officers’ for the purpose of Section 28 A of the Representation

of People Act, 1951 till the completion of Bye Election process to 11-Panaji

Assembly Constituency and 19-Valpoi Assembly Constituency, 2017 and

all such officers shall be subject to the control, superintendence and

discipline of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi.
