In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section 4, 5 and 6 of Section 7 of the Goa Panchayat Raj
Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994) (hereinafter called the “said Act”) the Government taking into account
the population of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes in the Panchayats as
specified in column No. 1 of the Schedule appended and hereto, hereby reserves the wards for the
persons belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes, as specified in the
corresponding entries in column No. 3, column No. 4 and column No. 5 respectively of the Schedule and
the wards for women as specified in column No. 6 of the said Schedule for North and South of Goa.
This Notification shall have effect for the purpose of ensuing elections to the Village Panchayats.
