The Chief Engineer-cum-Regional Officer,
Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Mumbai,
in exercise of powers vested under Section 31(2) of
‘The Control of National Highways (Land & Traffic)
Act, 2002’, on the recommendation of Goa State
PWD, hereby restricts the movement of vehicular
traffic over existing Zuari bridge on NH-66 (Old
NH-17) only to vehicles weighing upto 12 tons
(Gross Vehicle Weight) & only regular route local
passenger buses weighing upto 16.5 tons.
No other vehicles other than mentioned above
shall be permitted to ply on the bridge including
long route interstate buses weighing more than
16.5 tons. The Executive Engineer WD-XIV (NH),
PWD, Fatorda shall:-
a)
Ensure publication of same in State Gazette
within a period of 7 days.
b)
Ensure publication of Notification in 2 local
newspapers one English & one Vernacular.
c)
Ensure wide publicity in local media.
