For Adoption of Present Land Use Map and

27(4) and 27(5) of Town & Country Planning Act,

1974.

Whereas, this Authority has prepared the Present

Land Use Map and Register of Taleigao Planning

Area under section 26 of Town & Country Planning

Act and the same was placed before the 3rd

Authority meeting held on 18-06-2018.

And whereas, Public Notice was issued under

section 27(1) of Town & Country Planning Act, 1974

i.e. Notice for Preparation of Present Land Use Map

and Register in the newspapers namely “The

Navhind Times” and “Tarun Bharat” on 26-07-2018.

And said Map and Register was placed for inviting

objections from public.

And whereas this Authority requested to the

Village Panchayat of Taleigao to display the Present

Land Use Map and Register of Taleigao area in their

office and Part of Panaji area which falls in

Corporation of City of Panaji in the office of

Corporation of City of Panaji for the information of

the public.

And whereas, under section 27(3) of Town &

Country Planning Act, 1974, the Sub-committee was

appointed to hear the public objections and make

a report to the Planning and Development Authority.

The Sub-Committee heard the concerned persons

who have filed their objection to the Present Land

Use Map and Register and prepared the report.

And whereas, under section 27(4) of Town &

Country Planning Act, 1974, the Sub-committee

placed the report in its 5th authority meeting held

on 27-08-2018. The Authority considered the report

of Sub-committee with some modifications and

authority, unanimously resolved to adopt the said

Land Use Map and Register.

And whereas, in view of Section 27(5) of Town &

Country Planning Act, 1974, the adoption of said

Land Use Map & Register is to be published

herewith for the information of the public.

And whereas, this is to inform the public, that

the copies of Present Land Use Map and Register of

Taleigao Planning Area of village Taleigao may be

inspected at Taleigao Panchayat office.

And whereas, the Present Land Use Map and

Taleigao) may be inspected at the office Corporation

Country Planning Act, 1974, the adoption of said

Land Use Map and Register was published in the

daily newspapers on 30-08-2018 for the information

of public.

And whereas, this is to inform the public, that

the copies of Present Land Use Map and Land Use

jurisdiction of Arpora-Nagoa Village Panchayat may

be inspected at Arpora-Nagoa Village Panchayat

office and as well as at North Goa P.D.A. office at

The above Speed Breakers shall be painted with

white thermoplastic fluorescent paint and fixed

Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on

me under Section 116 of the above Act, I also

authorize the erection of cautionary signboards

“Speed Breaker”, at about 40 mts. on either side of

the speed breaker in advance of the speed breaker

and traffic signboard showing the sign “Speed

Breaker” at the placement of the speed breaker in

order to regulate the motor vehicular traffic.

The Secretary, Village Panchayat Pomburpa-

-Olaulim, Bardez and P.W.D. (Engineering Cell) is

directed to publish this notification through the

Director of Information and Publicity in local

newspapers and to make necessary arrangements

to construct the Speed Breakers and to erect the

signboards at the places indicated above as per

the specification laid down by the Ministry of Road

Transport and Highways and as published in the

Official Gazette, Series I No. 15 dated 15-07-2005 by

the Government of Goa and report compliance

within fifteen days time.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me under

the provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central

Act 59 of 1988) read with Govt. Notification No. 5/

/28/88/TPT(part), dated 26th September, 1989, and

in the interest of Tourist in particular and public in

general, I, Levinson J. Martins, District Magistrate,

North Goa District, Panaji hereby “prohibit the

movement of all kinds of Motor Vehicles on the

beaches within the jurisdiction of North Goa District

except the following vehicles as used:-

1) Vehicles deployed for the purpose of

comprehensive Management of cleanliness on

beaches as authorized by Director of Tourism

from time to time.

2) Vehicles for beach lifeguarding service as

authorized by Director of Tourism from time to

time.

3) Vehicles of Tourist Security Force as authorized

by Director of Tourism from time to time.

4) Vehicles of Police Department as authorized

by the undersigned after receipt of N.O.C. from

Tourism Department.

Subject to the condition that care should be taken

to avoid turtle nesting sites during patrolling and

also no sanddune vegetation and turtles should be

disturbed whenever required all such vehicles

authorized to ply on the beaches only for official

purpose shall also take prior permission from Goa

Coastal Zone Management Authority and such

other Statutory Authority whose permissions are

mandatory.

The Director of Tourism shall furnish to the

undersigned list of the vehicles which are

permitted by the Department to ply in the beaches

in the North Goa District with copy to Supdt. of

Police and also periodically endorse a copy of all

permissions in future.

Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on

me under section 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, I

authorize the Director of Tourism to erect the sign

boards at all the designated beaches at every

motorable exit and entry points and other vantage

points at a distance of at least 500 meters apart for

information of all.
