Whereas the bye-elections to Ward No. III of Village Panchayat Guirdolim (Reserved for Women),
Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Carmona (General) in Salcete, Ward No. I of Village Panchayat Querim-
Tiracol (General) in Pernem and Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Wadi-Talaulim (General) in Ponda
Talukas respectively are scheduled to be held on 25-11-2018.
And whereas this State Election Commission will issue a public written Notice in Form 2 of the
intended election as required under Rule 10 (3) of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election
Procedure) Rules, 1996.
Now therefore, this State Election Commission in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under
Article 243K of the Constitution of India and Section 237 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 read with
Rule 10(2)(i) of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996 do hereby notify
that the nomination papers of candidates in respect of Ward No. III of Village Panchayat Guirdolim
(Reserved for Women), Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Carmona (General) in Salcete, Ward No. I of
Village Panchayat Querim-Tiracol (General) in Pernem and Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat Wadi-
Talaulim (General) in Ponda Talukas respectively which are going to poll on 25th November, 2018 shall
be accepted by the Returning Officer at the notified place from 5th November, 2018 to 13th November,
2018 between 10.00 hrs. to 13.00 hrs. except on 6th November, 2018 being a Public Holiday (i.e. Diwali)
and 11th November, 2018 being Sunday.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me under Section 203 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994
(Goa Act 14 of 1994), I, R. K. Srivastava, IAS (Retd.), Goa State Election Commissioner, hereby
appoint the Mamlatdar of Salcete, Pernem and Ponda Talukas as the “Requisitioning Authority” and
authorise them to requisition premises, vehicles etc. for the purpose of bye-elections to Ward No. III of

to be deposited with the Returning Officer on or before the date fixed for receiving the
nomination papers.
