notification for “No Entry” for Heavy Goods Vehicle

in Vasco city during timing from 07.00 hrs. to

08.15 hrs., 12.45 hrs. to 14.00 hrs. and from 17.30 hrs.

to 20.00 hrs.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred under Sections 115, 116 and 117 of the

Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (Central Act 59 of 1988)

read with Government Notification No. 5/28/88/TPT/

/(Part) dated 26th September, 1989 and Rule 264-A

of the Goa Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2005,

I, Dr. Tariq Thomas, IAS, District Magistrate, South

Goa, Margao, in public interest do hereby notify the

public place shown in Column 2 of the Schedule

below as No Entry for Heavy Goods Vehicles like

tankers, trucks, trailers, dumpers etc. in Vasco city

between buses, city buses operating on various

routes and entering/exit from Vasco City between

07.00 hrs. to 08.15 hrs. and from 12.45 hrs. to

14.00 hrs. and from 17.30 hrs. to 20.00 hrs. except

stage carriage buses i.e. Kadamba Transport

Corporation buses. City buses operating on various

routes and entering/exit from Vasco City. Exception

is given to the Heavy Goods vehicles to ply through

the city during restricted timings only when school

are on holidays/vacations during morning and in

afternoon only i.e. from 07.00 hrs. to 08.15 hrs. and

from 12.45 hrs. to 14.00 hrs. and also direct to erect

Traffic Signboards as specified in Column 3 of the

Schedule for the purpose of regulating Motor

Vehicular Traffic.

This supersedes the earlier Notification issued

from time to time in this regard.
