People and 2 Bye-Election in 01—Mandrem and

this large number of vehicles has been requisitioned
for election purpose and there is urgent requirement
for parking space near the Collectorate, Dy. Collector
and Mamlatdar Offices at Panaji.

Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred on
me under Section 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act,
1988 and rule 264A of the Motor Vehicles Rules,
1991 as amended in 2005, I, R. Menaka, IAS, District
Magistrate, North Goa hereby notify the below
mentioned lanes as “Parking for Election Duty
Vehicles only” within the jurisdiction of Corporation
of the City of Panaji in Tiswadi Taluka w.e.f.
12-03-2019 upto 25-04-2019.
1)
The half portion along land roadside of the
service lane from the Ferry wharf at Panaji
upto Dempo House.
2)
The lane in front of the Collectorate
North building, Dy. Collector and Mamlatdar
Office.
3)
The service road adjacent to compound wall
of the Entertainment Society of Goa upto the
compound wall of Inox Multiplex.
It shall be noted that half portion towards the
river side will be left open for the pedestrians.
Further, in exercise of the powers conferred on
me under Section 116 of the above Act, I also
authorize the erection of traffic signboards “Parking
for Election duty Vehicles only” in order to regulate
the motor vehicular traffic.
The Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Altinho to
erect the temporary signboards at the places
indicated above and deploy sufficient traffic police
personnel to regulate the parking and movement of
vehicular traffic and report compliance latest by
12-03-2019.
This Notification shall come into force with
immediate effect and shall remain in force till the
counting process is over.

The Executive Engineer, W. D. XXV (Roads),

meters in advance of the speed breaker and at the
placement of the speed breaker.
Action taken report including photographs of
the work executed must be submitted to this office
within 30 days.
Non Compliance of Order, shall attract Penal
Provisions u/s 188 of I.P.C., 1860.
