Sub.: Merger of 2/3rd of the Indian National Congress Legislature Party into the

Bharatiya Janata Party is hereby published for information of the Hon’ble

Members.

Whereas, the Indian National Congress Legislature Party in the Goa Legislative

Assembly, has decided to merge into the Bhartiya Janata Party and a communication

to that effect has been addressed by ten members of the Goa Legislative Assembly,

namely Shri Chandrakant Kavelekar-MLA Quepem, Shri Nilkanth Halarnkar-MLA

Thivim, Shri Atanasio Monserrate-MLA Panaji, Smt. Jennifer Monserrate-MLA

Taleigao, Shri Antonio Fernandes-MLA St. Cruz, Shri Francisco Silveira-MLA

St. Andre, Shri Wilfred D’Sa-MLA Nuvem, Shri Filipe Nery Rodrigues-MLA Velim,

Shri Clafasio Dias-MLA Cuncolim and Shri Isidore Fernandes-MLA Canacona, to the

Speaker of the Goa Legislative Assembly.

Therefore, Hon’ble Speaker has taken note of the same and accordingly, seats are

allotted to these ten members alongwith members of Bharatiya Janata Party in the

House.
