In exercise of the powers conferred on me under

Sections 115, 116 & 117 of the Motor Vehicles Act,

1988 and as recommended by the Dy. Superinten-

dent of Police (Traffic), Panaji and in view of the

Novenas and feast of St. Francis Xavier at Old Goa

scheduled to be held from 24-11-2019 to 03-12-2019

I, R. Menaka, IAS, District Magistrate, North Goa

hereby order the diversion of traffic, temporary

Parking for vehicles, Bus Stands & Closure of roads

from 00:00 hrs. of 24-11-2019 to 24:00 hrs. of

03-12-2019 as detailed below:-

I. DIVERSIONS

A. Panaji to Old Goa via Ribandar

There will be special Buses to ferry passengers

from Panaji to Old Goa via Ribandar. The

Special Buses shall proceed from Panaji to Old

Goa via Ribandar and on reaching Dempo

Engineering at Old Goa, shall take left turn to

enter the Bhakia Property for parking at

Bhakia Bus Stand.

The two wheelers and four wheelers on

reaching Dempo Engineering at Old Goa shall

take left turn to enter Bhakia property for

parking.

Vehicles having VIP Car Pass shall be allowed

to come up to the entry road and shall be

parked in VIP Parking lot.

The vehicles carrying Disabled Persons shall

be allowed to come up to Old Goa Church

junction and park their vehicles in the open

space opposite Sulabh Souchalaya near Old

Goa Panchayat.

The vehicles parked in Bhakia property and

in the open space opposite Sulabh Souchalaya

near Old Goa Panchayat on their return journey

to Panaji, shall take the same route via

Ribandar.

B. Panaji to Old Goa via Kadamba By-Pass

Panaji to Ponda Route Buses shall not be

allowed to proceed via Ribandar. They shall

be diverted at KTC Circle to proceed via

Kadamba By-Pass (NH-4A).

The two wheelers and four wheelers on

reaching Kamat Gas Station junction shall take

left turn towards Santa Monica Nursery and

on reaching at St. Augustine Tower junction

shall take further left turn and on reaching

Habitat Junction shall take right turn and on

reaching Dempo Engineering shall take left

turn to enter Bhakia property for parking.

All heavy and medium vehicles shall be

diverted via Kadamba Bye-Pass NH-4A.

The new road connecting Kadamba by-pass

to Santan Church shall be ONE WAY from

Kadamba by-pass towards Santan. Similarly

“No Entry” for medium and heavy vehicles

from both sides i.e. from Santan Church and

from Kadamba By-Pass.

On Saturdays, Sundays and on the Feast Day,

Heavy and Medium Goods Vehicles wanting

to proceed via Old Goa shall be diverted at

Karaswada junction on NH-17 and at

Banastarim junction on NH-4A to proceed via

Amona Bridge.

C. South Goa Vehicles

The road from Pilar to Old Goa shall be ONE

WAY for the movement of traffic. No vehicle

from Old Goa shall be allowed to return via

Neura. All vehicles shall exit via NH-4A at

Merces or light vehicles can exit via new road

to Santan Church.

Four wheelers from South Goa shall be allowed

to come up to Ella Farm Gate and shall park

in the Ella Farm Field, Animal Husbandry &

Veterinary Service open space.

Two wheelers shall be parked in the private

property prior to Neura junction and in the

parking lots behind the Bom Jesus of Basilica.

Buses coming from South Goa via Neura road

on reaching Ella Farm main gate shall take

left turn and come to Bus Stand at Kunkolkar

School Ground and shall exit on NH-4A for

onward journey.

D. Ponda Side Vehicles

Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from

Ponda side on reaching near Pinto Garage shall

take left turn for parking at the ground behind

Pinto Garage.

For return journey, the two wheelers and four

wheelers shall take the same route to go

towards Ponda.

The normal traffic from Ponda wanting to go

to Panaji on reaching near Dargah junction at

Old Goa shall take Kadamba By-Pass (NH-4A).

Ponda to Panaji route buses shall not be

allowed to proceed via Old Goa Church

complex. They shall be diverted at Dargah

junction to proceed via Kadamba By-Pass

(NH-4A).

Heavy vehicles coming from Ponda side shall

be diverted at Banastarim junction via Amona

Bridge to join NH-17 at Karaswada.

The stretch of road between Old Goa police

station to church junction via Hon’ble Minister

Shri Pandurang Madkaikar House shall be ONE

WAY. No vehicle from church junction shall be

allowed to take right turn to reach Old Goa

Police Station via Hon’ble Minister Shri

Pandurang Madkaikar House.

E. Diwar Vehicles

The vehicles coming from Diwar to Old Goa

shall proceed via Viceroy’s Arch and shall be

parked in the courtyard of St. Cajetan Church.

The vehicles coming from Diwar shall proceed

through Viceroy’s Arch and Arch of

Conception to go towards Ponda and Panaji.

Vehicles from Ponda side wanting to proceed

to Diwar shall take right turn at Neura junction

and proceed to Diwar Ferry via Old Goa main

junction.

The vehicles coming from Gaundalim side and

desiring to proceed to Diwar shall take right

turn near Shri Ramesh Naik’s house to proceed

to Diwar jetty.

The vehicles coming from Panaji via Ribandar

to go to Diwar shall take left turn at Old Goa

Church junction, take the route towards St.

Catherine Chapel and thereafter take left turn

on the new by-lane to go to Diwar jetty.

The lane connecting Gaundaulim road to Arch

of Conception shall be NO ENTRY.

The road from Old Goa Church junction

towards Diwar Ferry via St. Catherine Chapel

shall be made ONE WAY.

No heavy and medium vehicles shall be

allowed to cross Diwar Ferry. All such vehicles

shall use Ribandar ferry to enter and exit

Diwar.

II. PARKING LOTS

A. Panaji-Old Goa (via Ribandar) vehicles

Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from

Panaji side via Ribandar, shall be parked at

Bhakia property.

B. Panaji-Old Goa (via Kadamba Bye-Pass) vehicles

Vehicles coming from Panaji side via new

Kadamba By-Pass (NH-4A), shall be diverted

near Kamat Gas Station to proceed for parking

at Bhakia property taking left near St. Augustin

Tower junction.

C. South Goa Side Vehicles

Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from

South Goa side shall be parked at Ella Farm,

at Animal Husbandry premises and at open

space on either side of highway near Neura

junction. Two wheelers shall also be parked in

private property prior to Neura junction.

D. Ponda Side Vehicles

Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from

Ponda side, shall be parked at open ground

near Pinto Garage. Two wheelers shall also be

parked at two open plots belonging to Mr.

Colaco and Mr. Sequeira opposite the

residence of Hon’ble Minister Shri Pandurang

Madkaikar house.

E. Diwar Side Vehicles

Two wheelers and four wheelers coming from

Diwar Ferry shall be parked in the courtyard

of St. Cajetan Church.

III. Parking for Vehicles with Parking Passes

Vehicles having passes issued by Traffic Police

shall be parked in the open space near Old

Goa main junction & near Sulabh Souchalaya

and in the Courtyard of V. P. Old Goa.

Priest Vehicles shall be parked in the

compound behind Basilica of Bom Jesus.

Church Volunteers in the asphalted parking

area behind Sulabh Souchalaya.

IV. BUS STANDS

Panaji - Old Goa buses via Ribandar road, at

Bhakia property.

Panaji - Old Goa buses via Kadamba Road,

along new 4-lane road behind Hon’ble

Minister Shri Pandurang Madkaikar House.

South Goa - Old Goa buses, at Kunkalkar

School Ground.

Ponda-Old Goa Buses, near Hubbard Farm.

Buses of Devotees and Tourists, behind Hon’ble

IV. ROAD CLOSURE

The stretch of road between Old Goa Church

junctions to Gandhi Circle shall be closed for

all types of vehicles except emergency

vehicles like Police, Ambulance and Fire

Brigade.

The ring round road from Old Goa Church

junction via St. Catherine Chapel/Arch of

Conception/Petrol Pump/Old Goa Police

Station to the residence of Hon’ble Minister

Shri Pandurang Madkaikar to Old Goa Church

junction shall be ONE-WAY from Old Goa

Church junction towards Diwar side and “NO

ENTRY” from the village Panchayat Old Goa

junction towards Hon’ble Minister, Shri

Pandurang Madkaikar House.

Further, I also authorize the erection of traffic

sign boards showing the Diversion/Closure/No

Entry/No Parking/Parking signs at the feasible

places as mentioned above in order to regulate the

vehicular traffic.

records of Registrar of Birth and Death, V. P.

Surla, Bicholim-Goa.

3. That my recorded name in school and college

is “Sneha Gajanan Bandekar”, but I myself

popularly known as “Sneha Gajanan Shet

Bandekar”.

4. I have not published in the Gazette for the

change of name.

5. I state that “Sneha Gajanan Bandekar”, and

the “Sneha Gajanan Shet Bandekar” in the

name of one and the same person and that is

myself.

card my name appears as Muntjim Siddiqui.

2. I say that on my Marriage Certificate registered

at the Civil Registrar of Bardez against entry

No. 940/16 my name appears as Muntjim.

3. I say that my name should be correctly written

as Muntjim Siddiqui in my marriage certificate.

4. I say that Muntjim and Muntjim Siddiqui are

the names of one and the same person i.e. my
