In exercise of the powers conferred on me under

Section 116 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and

Rule 264A of the Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991 as

amended in 2005 and as recommended by the Supdt.

of Police, North Porvorim, Bardez-Goa, I, R. Menaka,

IAS, District Magistrate, North Goa District, hereby

order the installation of Traffic Lights before the

spot at the divider at Chinchwada Chimbel junction

and to erect signboards at the sides of the road

stating as “Narrow Road/Accident Prone Zone”,

“Drive Slow” in order to regulate the motor vehicular

traffic in the jurisdiction of Village Panchayat,

Chimbel, Tiswadi-Goa.

The Secretary, Village Panchayat Chimbel, is

directed to publish this notification through the

Director of Information and Publicity in local

newspapers and to make necessary arrangements

to erect the cautionary signboard and blinkers to

improve illumination at the places indicated above

as per the specification laid down by the Ministry

of Road Transport and Highways and as published

in the Official Gazette by the Government of Goa

and report compliance within fifteen days time.

Director of Information and Publicity in local

newspapers and make necessary arrangements to
