Whereas, the Zilla Panchayat elections for Goa
have been declared vide Notification No. 19/DP/
/ZP/ELN/2020/526 dated 12-02-2020.
And whereas, under Article 243K of the
Constitution of India, the State Election Commission
is seized with the conduct of the said elections.
Now therefore, the State Election Commission
in exercise of the powers conferred upon it do
hereby notifies that the Model Code of Conduct
shall be applicable from 21-02-2020 till midnight of
23-03-2020.

Whereas, the General Election to 25 Constitu-
encies of North Goa Zilla Panchayat in the State of
Goa will be conducted on 22-03-2020.
And whereas, this State Election Commission
will issue a public written notice in Form No. 2A
of the intended election as required under Rule
10(3) of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat
(Election Procedure) Rules, 1996.
Now therefore, this State Election Commission
in exercise of the powers conferred upon it under
Article 243K of the Constitution of India and Section
237 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 read with
Rule 10(2)(i) of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla
Panchayat (Election Procedure) Rules, 1996 do
hereby notify as following:
Nomination papers of candidates in respect of
General Election to 25 Constituencies of North Goa
Zilla Panchayat District which are going to poll on
22nd March, 2020, shall be accepted by the
Returning Officers from 27th February, 2020 to
5th March, 2020 from (10.00 hrs. to 13.00 hrs.) except
on 1st March, 2020 being a Public Holiday (i.e.
Sunday).

/Scheduled Tribes or Backward Class, a sum
of Rs. 300/- is required to be deposited
with the Returning Officer on or before
the date fixed for receiving the nomination
papers.
