Auction Notice
No. CE/09/1-2009/Exc/Can
The following quantities of Indian Made Foreign
Liquor and Country Liquor confiscated in favour of
the Government will be auctioned in the premises
of Excise Station Canacona, Chaudi, Canacona-Goa
on 14-10-2020 at 11.00 a.m. to the bidder who offers
the highest price.
If necessary the auction for the second time
will be held at the same place on 15-10-2020 at
11.00 a.m.
Only licence vendors of liquor will be allowed to
participate in the auction. The successful bidder
will have to pay the bidding price immediately.
The Government however, reserved the right to
reject the bid amount without assigning any reason
thereof. The bid will be final only after the approval
by the Commissioner of Excise, Panaji-Goa.

Whereas the work of obtaining deck levels and
inspection of existing Zuari bridge located on
National Highway – 17 is planned from 6.00 a.m. to
9.00 a.m. on first Sunday i.e. on 04th October, 2020,
for which the bridge needs to be closed for all
ongoing traffic and needs to be diverted via Borim
on NH-17B and also via ferry boats from across,
river Zuari from Cortalim to Agassaim & vice versa.
Whereas power to function as highway
administration as delegated vide SO No. 3292E duly
published in Gazette of India vide No. 3012
Extraordinary Part-II- Section 3-Subsection (ii) dated
16-09-2019 to the respective Executive Engineer to
discharge the functions of Highway Administration
under Section 33 of control to National Highway
Act, 2002.
Whereas MORT&H vide letter No. NH-11011/33/
/2019-LA dated 18-09-2019 has confirmed delegated
of powers to the competent authority to discharge
the functions of Highway Administration.
Therefore I, Shri Laxmikant Naik, the Executive
Engineer of Division XIV(NH), PWD, Fatorda,
Margao-Goa, in-charge of Highway stretch from
NH-17B orders for closure of existing Zuari bridge
for all types of traffic from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. on
4th October, 2020 (Sunday) to enable Assistant
Engineer, SD I, WDXIV(NH), PWD, Cortalim to record
deck levels and also direct the diversion of all traffic
via Borim bridge on NH-17B and through ferry boat
across river Zuari.

Whereas the work of obtaining deck levels and
inspection of existing Zuari bridge located on
National Highway – 17, which was schedule on
04th October, 2020 (Sunday) is postponed to 18th
October, 2020 (Sunday) from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m.
for which the bridge needs to be closed for all
ongoing traffic and needs to be diverted via Borim
on NH-17B and also via ferry boats from across,
river Zuari from Cortalim to Agassaim & vice versa.
Whereas power to function as highway
administration as delegated vide SO No. 3292E duly
published in Gazette of India vide No. 3012
Extraordinary Part-II- Section 3-Subsection (ii) dated
16-09-2019 to the respective Executive Engineer to
discharge the functions of Highway Administration
under Section 33 of control to National Highway
Act, 2002.
Whereas MORT&H vide letter No. NH-11011/33/
/2019-LA dated 18-09-2019 has confirmed delegated
of powers to the competent authority to discharge
the functions of Highway Administration.
Therefore I, Shri Laxmikant Naik, the Executive
Engineer of Division XIV(NH), PWD, Fatorda,
Margao-Goa, in-charge of Highway stretch from
NH-17B orders for closure of existing Zuari bridge
for all types of traffic from 6.00 a.m. to 9.00 a.m. on
18th October, 2020 (Sunday) to enable Assistant
Engineer, SD I, WDXIV(NH), PWD, Cortalim to record
deck levels and also direct the diversion of all traffic
via Borim bridge on NH-17B and through ferry boat
across river Zuari.

And whereas, the circumstances do not permit
serving of the notice in due time to the person/
/persons involved in digging of road or a part
thereof, the order is passed ex-parte. It shall be
published for information of public through Press
and also by affixing copies on the Notice Boards of
all Sub-Divisional Magistrates, Mamlatdars and
Police Stations.
All the Police Officers of the rank of Police
Inspectors and above of South Goa District shall
ensure effective implementation of this Order and
if any person/agency/organization is found violating
this order, appropriate action under Section 188
IPC may be initiated against the same.
This order shall come into force from 16th
September, 2020 and shall remain in operation upto
15th October, 2020.
