Whereas DBL-MBZ (JV) vide letter No. DBL-
-MBZ(JV)/GOA/PKG-II/AE/2020/423, dated 4-12-2020
and the Authority Engineer vide lettter No.
TPFEPL/NZB/SO/P-2601/2020-21/452 dated 04-12-2020
has requested for night closure for launching wing
segment of 12.00 m. wide between the pier
locations AP 15 to AP 19 in the stretch of NH-17
(NH-66) from Ch. 530/850 to 531/040 for one side
lane at RHS.
Whereas notification was earlier issued by the
Chief Engineer vide letter No. PWD/CE (NH, R&B)/
/F.GEN/2019-20/69 dated 18-06-2019, for the closure
of stretch between Santrant slope to Cortalim
junction on NH-17.
Whereas approval has been obtained from
Highway Administrator for the State of Goa-
Regional Officer, MoRT&H, Mumbai vide No. RW/
/MUM/P-171/2018-19/1519 dated 25-04-2019.
Whereas power to function as Highway
Administration as delegated vide SO No. 3292E
duly published in Gazette of India vide No. 3012
Extraordinary Part-II Section 3, sub-section (ii)
dated 16-09-2019, to the respective Executive
Engineer to operate the power of Highway
Administration under Section 33 of Control of
National Highway Act, 2002.
Whereas MoRT&H vide letter No. NH-11011/33/
2019-LA dated 18-09-2019 has confirmed delegation
of powers to the competent authority to discharge
the function of Highway Administrator.
Whereas Notification was earlier issued by the
Highway Administrator vide No. 87/1/2019-20/
/PWD-WD-XIV(NH)/ASW/207 dated 23-01-2020 and
vide No. 87/1/2019-20/PWD-WD-XIV(NH)/ASW/85
dated 26-08-2020 for the closure of stretch between
Santrant slope to Cortalim junction of NH-17.
Further I, Shri Dattaprasad S. Kamat the
Executive Engineer of Division-XIV (NH) PWD,
Fatorda, Margao, In-charge of highway stretch from
NH-17 (New NH-66) hereby order for night closure
for a single lane (RHS) near Aggasaim Police Station
for launching of wing segments of 12.00 m. wide
between the pier locations AP 15 to AP 19, from
10.00 p.m. to 6.00 a.m. for all types of vehicular
traffic in the section for launching of wing segments
for Package-II of Zuari Bridge from 01-02-2021 to
15-05-2021.
The Highway traffic shall be diverted in one
lane by closing RHS lane between ch. 530/850 to
ch. 531/040 for a distance of 190 m.
Spine/wing segment transportation from casting
yard to site location shall be permitted during non
peak hours of day time also. Non peak hours timing
will be from 10.00 p.m. to 12.00 mid night and from
2.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
Prominent proper signboards mentioning
diversion periods with dates in Konkani, English
and Hindi shall be displayed at diversion locations
by the DBL MBZ(JV) in addition to all required
road safety measurers as per laid down guidelines
of IRC and MORTH specifications.
