Further in exercise of the powers conferred on

me under Section 116 of the above Act, I also

authorize the erection of cautionary signboards

“Speed Breaker” at about 40 mts. on either side of

the speed breaker in advance of the rumbler strips

and traffic signboard showing the sign “Speed

Breaker” at the placement of the speed breaker in

order to regulate the motor vehicular traffic.

The Secretary. Village Panchayat, Pirna, Bardez-

Goa is directed to publish this notification through

the Director of Information and Publicity in local

newspapers and P.W.D. (Engineering Cell) to make

necessary arrangements to construct the speed

breakers and to erect the signboards at the places

indicated above as per the specification laid down

by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways

and as published in the Official Gazette Series I

No. 15 dated 15-07-2005 by the Government of Goa

and report compliance within thirty days time.

proceeding towards Abreu Lobo’s Commercial

Institute will be diverted via Prashant Hotel

towards M. R. Fernandes Hardware Shop to proceed

further to their destination.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred on me under Sections 115 & 116 of the

Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and as recommended by

the Dy. Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Altinho

Panaji, I, Ajit Roy, IAS, District Magistrate, North

Goa hereby order for closure of the one way stretch

of road abutting the dilapidated Municipal

building proceeding from Abreu Lobo’s Commercial

Institute towards Vilena hotel side until the

demolition of the said building is completed. During

the closure period, the vehicular traffic

approaching from Alankar Theatre Mapusa and

proceeding towards Abreu Lobo’s Commercial

Institute will be diverted via Prashant Hotel

towards M. R. Fernandes Hardware Shop to proceed

further to their destination.

The Chief Officer, Mapusa Municipal Council,

Mapusa-Goa is directed to publish this Order

through the Director of Information and Publicity

in press/media/social media regarding the traffic

diversion and to make necessary arrangements to

erect the signboards at the required places and

report compliance within fifteen days time.

Conditions

1. The contractor is directed to erect sufficient

traffic signages/directional boards regarding

closure at diversion points for the information

of motorists and other road users.

2. The contractor is directed to give notice

through Press/Media regarding closure and

diversion of the road on receipt of this Order

for the information of the motorists and other

road users.

3. The contractor shall post sufficient number of

Traffic Marshals at diversion points to guide

the motorist regarding diversion.

4. Prior permission from other competent

authorities should be obtained in advance.

5. NOC from concerned Police Station should be

obtained.

6. Material used for barricading the road should

be painted/pasted with fluorescent paint/tape

for illuminating the same during the night

time.

7. Material used for barricading of road should

be removed immediately and the road should

be thrown open for vehicular flow as soon as

the work is completed.

8. The contact number of the Contractor/

/Supervisor or the responsible person should

be displayed at all closure/diversion points so

as to enable him/her to contact if any emergent

situation arises.

9. This permission is subject to cancellation/

/revocation at any moment.

Shankhwaleshwari Saunsthan, Gothan-Veling is

hereby convened on Sunday, 25th July, 2021 at

10.30 a.m. at Saunsthan hall for discussing and

deciding on the points mentioned in the following

agenda:

1. To read and confirm minutes of last meeting.

2. To discuss and give instructions necessary for

the preparation of the draft of ordinary budget

for the year 2022-23.

3. To discuss and decide on the various utsavs to

be performed in the devasthan by various

families and individuals and which are not

being performed at present.

4. To discuss and decide on the request received

from S. M. Keshkamat for performing

Makharotsava on Ashwin Shuddh Shashthi

during Navratri.

5. Any other matter by the permission of

Chairman.

In the absence of quorum, the meeting will be

held at 11.00 a.m. on the same day and venue.

All Mahajans are requested to attend the same.
