The Chief Engineer-cum-Regional Officer, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Mumbai in exercise

of powers vested under Section 31 (2) of “The Control of National Highways (Land & Traffic) Act, 2002,

on the recommendation of Goa State Traffic Police & PWD, Goa hereby approves the modifications of speed

limit on the selected stretches of National Highway-748 (No. 4A) in Goa which will supersede the

Notification No. 1/Goa/NH-speed limits/2018-19/S0/1 published in Official Gazette dated 28-06-2018, Series

III No. 13.

The said speed limits are to be enforced only after adequate number of signboards are erected on the

said stretches for the information of highway commuters.

Proposed maximum speed limit on selected stretches of National Highway 748 (4A) from Mollem to Ela-

Goa hereby order for closure of Atal Setu RHS lane

at the landing point near Heera Petrol Pump (one

lane) for a period of 15 days. (i.e. from 18-01-2022 to

01-02-2022).

The Managing Director, Goa State Infrastructure

Development Corporation Limited, Panaji is directed

to publish this Order through the Director of

Information and Publicity in press/media/social

media regarding the traffic diversion and to make

necessary arrangements to erect the sign boards

at the required places and report compliance within

fifteen days time.

Conditions

1. The GSIDC/Contractor is directed to erect

sufficient traffic signages/directional boards

regarding closure at diversion points for the

information of motorists and other road users.

2. The GSIDC/Contractor is directed to give

notice through Press/Media regarding closure

and diversion of the road on receipt of this

Order for the information of the motorists and

other road users.

3. The normal flow of the vehicular traffic on the

parallel and surrounding roads should not be

obstructed.

4. The GSIDC/Contractor shall post sufficient

number of Traffic Marshals at diversion points

to guide the motorist regarding diversion.

5. The GSIDC/Contractor shall install red lamps/

/lights at the site for clear visibility during

night time.

6. No construction material should be dumped

on the road causing obstruction to the road

users and motorists.

7. After completion of the work entire place

should be cleaned from all types of debris, mud

etc. and the road should be brought down to

its normalcy for the use of motorists and other

road users.

8. Prior permission from other competent

authorities should be obtained in advance.

9. NOC from concerned Police Station should be

obtained.

10. Material used for barricading the road should

be painted/pasted with fluorescent paint/tape

for illuminating the same during the night

time.

11. Material used for barricading of road should

be removed immediately and the road should

be thrown open for vehicular flow after

resurfacing the same.

12. The work should be completed on or before

01-02-2022.

13. The contact number of the Contractor/

/Supervisor or the responsible person should

be displayed at all closure/diversion points so

as to enable him/her to contact if any emergent

situation arises.

14. This permission is subject to cancellation/

/revocation at any moment.
