In exercise of the powers conferred on me vide Rule 5 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat

(Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, W. V. Ramanamurthy, IAS (Retd.), Commissioner of Goa State

Election Commission, Panaji-Goa, hereby notify that the Electoral Roll of the Goa Legislative Assembly

prepared under the provisions of Representation of People Act, 1950 (Central Act 43 of 1951) for the time

being in force as on 1st January, 2022 published on 5-1-2022 along with the supplement published on

28th January, 2022 for such Constituencies of the Assembly or any part thereof as is included in the area

within the jurisdiction of the Constituency of the Zilla Panchayat shall be adopted for the purpose of

preparation of Electoral Roll for ensuing Bye Elections to fill up the vacancy of Zilla Panchayat member of

12—Reis Magos Constituency of North Goa Zilla Panchayat and 13—Davorlim and 25—Cortalim

Constituency of South Goa Zilla Panchayat as per the existing delimitation Notification No. 19/DP/ZP/

/Election/2020/620 dated 20-02-2020 and Notification No. 19/DP/ZP Election/2020/621 dated 20-02-2020

The Order No. 3/28/GEVP-2022/Del-Rev/SEC/1709 dated: 17-11-2021, stands modified as under:

1. The Electoral Registration Officer mentioned at serial No. 6 at column No. 5 for Village Panchayat

Reis-Magos shall be read as “Joint Mamlatdar I of Bardez Taluka” instead of Mamlatdar of Bardez

Taluka. Joint Mamlatdar I of Bardez Taluka shall take charge as the Electoral Registration Officer

for Village Panchayat Reis-Magos with immediate effect.

2. The Assistant Electoral Registration Officer mentioned at serial No. 6 at column no. 6 for Village

Panchayat Reis-Magos shall be read as “Awal Karkun in the office of Deputy Collector/SDO Bardez

Taluka” instead of Awal Karkun in the office of the Mamlatdar Bardez. Awal Karkun in the office of

Deputy Collector/SDO Bardez Taluka shall take charge as the Assistant Electoral Registration

Officer for Village Panchayat Reis-Magos with immediate effect.

The remaining part of the order remains unchanged.

The Order No. 3/28/GEVP/186/2022-SEC/2044 dated: 21-03-2022, stands modified as under:

And whereas, the general elections to the said Panchayats cannot be held;

And whereas, therefore, it is necessary to appoint an Administrator to run the affairs and all other

activities of each of the said Panchayat till the General Elections are held and a new elected body of

members headed by the Sarpanch takes the charge of the respective Panchayat;

Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994), the Government of Goa hereby appoints the persons

specified in column (3) of the Schedule below as Administrator of the Panchayat mentioned in the

corresponding entry in column (2) of the said Schedule with effect from 08-07-2022 until the post of

Sarpanch and Dy. Sarpanch has been filled after the Village Panchayat General Election 2022 or until

further orders.

taken by the Administrator without approval of the Block Development Officer of the Taluka/Block.

The aforesaid officials shall function as Administrators in addition to their own duties in their

respective offices/Departments. Further, they shall attend respective Village Panchayat office on every

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, besides during other exigent situations.

This issues with the approval of the Government.
