No. 19/DP/ADM/2022/3478

Read: No. 19/DP/ADM/2022/3047 dated 17-06-2022.

Whereas, the term of the Sarpanchas, Dy.

Sarpanchas, and other members of the Village

Panchayats specified in column (2) of the Schedule

below expired on 18-06-2022;

And whereas, the General Elections to the said

Panchayats cannot be held;

And whereas, therefore, it was necessary to

appoint an Administrator to run the affairs and all

other activities of each of the said Panchayat till

the General Elections are held and a new elected

body of members headed by the Sarpanch takes

the charge of the respective Panchayat;

EXTRAORDINARY

And whereas, the Government vide Notification

read in the preamble has appointed Administrators

mentioned in column (3) of the schedule to Village

Panchayats mentioned in column (2) of the schedule.

And whereas, the Government has now decided

to substitute the Administrators appointed vide

Notification read in the preamble and appoint below

mentioned officials as Administrators mentioned in

column (4) of the schedule of the respective

Panchayat mentioned against their names.

Now therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 180 of the

Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994),

the Government of Goa hereby appoints the persons

specified in column (4) of the Schedule below as

Administrator of the Panchayat mentioned in the

corresponding entry in column (2) of the said

schedule with effect from the date of issuance of

this Notification until the post of Sarpanch and Dy.

Sarpanch has been filled after the Village Panchayat

General Election 2022, or until further orders.

powers, perform and discharge all the duties and

functions conferred and imposed upon the

Sarpanch or the Dy. Sarpanch or the members of

the respective Panchayat under the provisions of

the said Act and the rules made thereunder or any

other law. However, no decision in exercise of the

above powers shall be taken by the Administrator

without approval of the Block Development Officer

of the Taluka/Block.

The aforesaid officials shall function as

Administrators in addition to their own duties in

their respective offices/Departments. Further, they

shall attend respective Village Panchayat office on

every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, besides

during other exigent situations.
