In pursuance of the directions issued by the
Hon‘ble Supreme Court of India in the Judgment
passed on 22-09-2006, in Writ Petition (Civil)
No. 310 of 1996, in the matter of Prakash Singh &
Ors versus Union of India and Ors read with Section
21 of General Clauses Act, 1897 (Central Act 10 of
1897), the Government of Goa hereby amends the
Government Order No. 2/58/2007-HD(G)/SPCA/
/Vol.I/2309 dated 17-06-2021, published in the
Official Gazette, Series II No. 13 dated 24-06-2021
(hereinafter called the “principal Order”), as
follows:-
In the principal Order,—
(i) in clause No. 1, for the word “Member”, the
words “two Members” shall be substituted;
(ii) after the clause 6, the following clause shall
be inserted, namely:-
“7. The Nomination for the panel of selection for
the post of Chairperson shall be sought from the
Registrar of High Court of Bombay and the
nomination of the panel of the selection for the
post of Members shall be sought from Goa Human
Rights Commission, Goa Lokayukta and Goa Public
Service Commission.”.
This order shall come into force with immediate
effect.
