In exercise of the powers conferred in me under sub-section (3) of Section 7 of the Goa Panchayat Raj
Act, 1994 (Goa Act 14 of 1994), I, W. V. Ramanamurthy, IAS (Retd.), Commissioner, Goa State Election
Commission, Panaji-Goa hereby initiate the process of dividing each Panchayat area as mentioned in
column 4 into wards, for General Election to three Village Panchayats in Pernem Taluka 2022. To assist
me in the above process the Officers mentioned below are appointed as the Electoral Registration Officers
(ERO) and Asst. Electoral Registration Officers (AERO):-

EXTRAORDINARY
The officers appointed vide this order are required to perform following duties:
1.
The wards may be constituted in consonance to Section 7 of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994 and
Rules (Goa Act 14 of 1994 & Rules).
2.
For dividing a Panchayat area into wards the population or the number of voters of each ward
shall, as far as may be practicable be equal and be in the same proportion as the number of
members fixed under Section 7 of the Act bears to the total population or the number of voters
of the Panchayat.
3.
The ERO/AERO shall utilize the Electoral Roll of the Goa Legislative Assembly prepared under the
provisions of the Representation of Peoples Act, 1950 (Central Act 43 of 1951) for the time being
in force as on 1st January, 2022 published on 5-1-2022 along with the supplement published on
