In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Special

Marriage Act, 1954 (Central Act 43 of 1954) read with Section 21 of the General

Clauses Act, 1897 (Act No. 10/1897), the Government of Goa hereby rescinds the

Government Notification No. 8/3/2014-LD(Estt.)/133 dated 17-01-2014, published in

the Official Gazette, Extraordinary No. 2, Series II No. 42 dated 17-01-2014 with

immediate effect.
