Whereas, vide order referred to at (1) above, the
transportation and entry of livestock such as Cattle
and Buffalo from neighboring States and few other
States from where livestock are brought into North
Goa District was prohibited.
And whereas, the Director of Animal Husbandry
and Veterinary Services, Panaji vide his letter
referred to at (2) above, has informed that the
Government has approved to modify the prohibitory
order to permit Quraishi’s Meat Traders Association
of Goa, Karaswada, Mapusa-Goa to transport
buffaloes to Goa Meat Complex Ltd., Usgao-Goa for
slaughter purpose from neighboring States on
production of necessary certificate to be carried
alongwith the consignment in original.
Note:- There is one Supplement to the Official Gazette,
Series III No. 34 dated 24-11-2022 namely
Supplement dated 25-11-2022 from pages 1115 to
1126 regarding Notifications from Department of
Finance (Goa State Lotteries).
And whereas, from the perusal of the said report,
I am of the considered opinion that prohibitory
order issued by this office needs to be modified
and extend for further period.
Now, therefore, I, Mamu Hage, IAS, District
Magistrate, North Goa, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon me by Section 144 of the Code of
Criminal Procedure 1973, do hereby prohibit the
transportation and entry of livestock such as Cattle
and Buffalo from other States of India into North
Goa District either directly or indirectly except
Quraishi’s Meat Traders Association of Goa,
Karaswada, Mapusa, Goa to transport buffaloes to
Goa Meat Complex Ltd., Usgao Goa for slaughter
purpose from neighboring States with following
conditions:
1. Relaxation
would
be
restricted
for
transportation of healthy buffaloes only.
2. The animals shall be directly unloaded at the
Goa Meat Complex Ltd., Usgao-Goa for
slaughter.
3. The rejected animals, if any, shall be directly
lifted and transported back to the original place
from where procured, following the necessary
formalities laid down as per PCA Act
(Transportations Rules).
4. The animals being transported should not be
affected with LSD.
5. The animals should not be sourced from the
tracts and herds affected with LSD.
6. Every consignment shall essentially carry the
certificate in original from Government
Competent Authority at the place of
procurement, stating that the animals are not
affected with LSD nor have they been sourced
from the tracts and herds affected with LSD.
As the notice cannot be served individually on
all concerned, the order is hereby passed ex-parte.
Any person contravening this order shall be
punishable under Section 188 of the Indian Penal
Code.

the above mentioned deceased persons namely
Antonio Mascarenhas and Conceicao Piedade
Mascarenhas. The declarants further stated that
they are fully aware of all above facts stated in this
Act since they are in close contact to the family of
the deceased person. That the declarants are not
relatives of the deceased persons nor of the
qualifying heir and that they the declarants have
no interest or intension of whatsoever nature in
making the present statement other than the one
of testifying the truth, therefore they the declarants
declared and affirm for all legal purposes that upon
the death of the said Antonio Mascarenhas and
Conceicao Piedade Mascarenhas the sole and
universal heirs are their five children.
Any person having any objection to this deed
may file the same in this office within one month
from the date of this publication.
