Notification
No. 429/GOA/2023 (Dedicated AERO):– In exercise
of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of Section
13 (C) of the Representation of People Act, 1950
(43 of 1950), the Election Commission of India hereby
appoints each of the officers of the Government of
Goa as specified in column 2 of the table below as
dedicated Assistant Electoral Registration Officer to
assist the Electoral Registration Officer of the
Assembly Constituency in the State of Goa, as
specified in column 1 of the said table against such
officer of Government:-

Whereas, the Bye Elections to Ward No. V of
Village Panchayat Velguem, Ward No. VI of Village
Panchayat Ona-Maulinguem Kudchirem, Ward No.
VI of Village Panchayat Orlim, Ward No. II of Village
Panchayat Calem, Ward No. IV of Village Panchayat
Balli-Adnem and Ward No. VII of Village Panchayat
Barcem-Quedem is scheduled to be held in the
month of March, 2023.
Now therefore, the State Election Commission in
exercise of the powers conferred upon it under
Article 243K of the Constitution of India and Section
237(1) and (3) of the Goa Panchayat Raj Act, 1994,
do hereby notify as follows:-
(a)
“that the Collector and District Magistrate,
North Goa shall function as the overall
District Election Officer (DEO) for Ward
No. V of Village Panchayat Velguem and
Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Ona-
-Maulinguem Kudchirem”.
(b)
“that the Collector and District Magistrate,
South Goa shall function as the overall
District Election Officer (DEO) for Ward No.
VI of Village Panchayat Orlim, Ward No. II of
Village Panchayat Calem, Ward No. IV of
Village Panchayat Balli-Adnem and Ward
No. VII of Village Panchayat Barcem-
-Quedem”.
This comes into force with immediate effect.

In exercise of the powers conferred on me vide
Rule 5 of the Goa Panchayat and Zilla Panchayat
(Election Procedure) Rules, 1996, I, W. V.
Ramanamurthy, IAS (Retd.), Commissioner of Goa
State Election Commission, hereby notify that the
Electoral Roll of the Goa Legislative Assembly
prepared under the provisions of Representation of
People Act, 1950 (Central Act 43 of 1951) for the
time being in force as on 1st January, 2023
(published on 27th January, 2023) for such
Constituencies of the Assembly or any part thereof
as is included in the area within the jurisdiction
Village Panchayats shall be adopted for the purpose
of preparation of Electoral Roll for ensuing Bye
Elections to Ward No. V of Village Panchayat
Velguem, Ward No. VI of Village Panchayat Ona-
-Maulinguem Kudchirem, Ward No. VI of Village
Panchayat Orlim, Ward No. II of Village Panchayat
Calem, Ward No. IV of Village Panchayat Balli-
