In exercise of the powers conferred on me under sub-section (1) of Section 22 of the

Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 (Central Act No. 10 of 1994) and after obtaining

the recommendations of the Committee specified in the proviso to sub-

-section (1) of Section 22, I, Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Governor of Goa, hereby

re-appoint Shri Desmond D’Costa, Retired Principal District & Sessions Court Judge

and Shri Pramod V. Kamat, Retired District & Sessions Judge as Members of the Goa

Human Rights Commission with effect from the date they assume charge of office.

Also, as per sub-section (1) of Section 25, Shri Desmond D’Costa, Retired Principal

District & Sessions Court Judge, is authorized to act as Chairperson until the

appointment of a new Chairperson to fill such vacancy.
