luminous paint/strips, median markings for better
visibility, guidance of motorists and embedded cat-
eyes as per IRC specifications laid down by the
Ministry of Road Transport and Highway and as
published in the Official Gazette, Series I No. 15

The signboards shall be installed as per

Action taken report including photographs of
the work executed must be submitted to this office
within 30 days.
Non compliance of order shall attract penal
provisions under section 188 of I.P.C., 1860.

Adoption of Map and Register under Sec 27(4) of
the TCP Act, 1974 showing present land use for the
planning area of Panaji (part) comprising of Penha-
-de-Franca Village (part).
Whereas the Government of Goa vide
Notification No. 36/1/443/2022/2098 dated
24-08-2022, reconstituted this Authority ‘North Goa
Planning and Development Authority’ in respect of
‘Panaji Planning Area’.
And whereas the Government of Goa thereafter
vide Notification No. 36/1/TCP/478/2022/3595 dated
29-12-2022 added/included part area of Village
Penha-de-Franca in the ‘Panaji Planning Area’.
And whereas the Government of Goa in
supersession of the earlier Government Notification
No. 36/1/TCP/478/2022/3595 dated 29-12-2022, vide
Notification No. 36/1/TCP/478/2022/164 dated
13-01-2023, defined the limits of ‘Panaji Planning
Area’.
And whereas the Government of Goa amended
the Notification No. 36/1/TCP/478/2022/164 dated

/2022/497 dated 14-02-2023, mentioning therein

will be part of the ‘Panaji Planning Area’.
And whereas, pursuant to the inclusion of part
area of village Penha-de-Franca of Bardez Taluka in
‘Panaji Planning Area’, this authority has prepared
land use map and land use register showing present
use of ‘Panaji Planning Area’ (part) comprising of
part area of Village Penha-de-Franca in terms of
Section 26 of the Town and Country Planning Act,
1974.
And whereas, after preparation of said present
land use map and land use register, a public notice
was issued under Section 27 (1) of Town and
Country Planning Act, 1974 i.e. notice for
preparation of present land use map and land use
register in local daily newspapers, ‘The Goan’,
‘Tarun Bharat’ and ‘Bhangarbhui’ on 26-09-2023; and
said land use map and land use register was
accordingly placed for public objections.
And whereas, said present land use map and
land use register was referred to the local authority
viz. Village Panchayat of Penha-de-Franca.
And whereas, this authority has not received
any objections to said land use map and land use
register within stipulated period of 30 days of
publication of notice under Section 27 (1) of Town
and Country Planning Act, 1974.
And whereas, under Section 27 (4) of Town and
Country Planning Act, 1974, the authority in its
92nd meeting held on 10-11-2023 unanimously
resolved to adopt the said land use map and land
use register with some modification in the land use
register.
And whereas, the general public are hereby
informed that the copies of the present land use
map and land use register of Panaji (part) planning
area comprising of part area of Penha-de-Franca
Village are available for inspection at the office of
Village Panchayat Penha-de-Franca, Brittona,
Bardez-Goa.
And whereas, the general public are hereby also
informed that the copies of land use map and land
use register of Panaji (part) planning area may also
be inspected at the Office of North Goa Planning
and Development Authority at Shanta Bldg, 1st floor,
