Whereas, the Superintendent of Police, Traffic,
Panaji Goa vide report read at above has submitted
that, on 16-04-2023 at about 05.50 hrs. near Manipal
Hospital on Dona Paula-Bambolim road, one Tata
multi axel trolley bearing reg. No. NL-01-AC-6022
carrying dismantled tower crane, while proceeding
from Mathias Prestige Housing complex Dona Paula
towards Bambolim side, hit the road side footpath
and turned turtle on one side of the road and the
driver along with the occupants sustained minor
injuries.
And whereas, it has further submitted that, in
view of the ongoing G-20 Summit meetings and
side events at Hotel Taj Convention and Hotel Grant
Hyatt, there is heavy VIP movement along the Dona
Paula-Bambolim route and considering the
magnitude of the event, smooth and unobstructed
movement of the VIP’s needs to be ensured.
And whereas, it has further requested this office
to issue order, restricting movement of heavy and
multi-axel vehicles on Dona Paula-Bambolim road
from 17-04-2023 to 20-04-2023 in order to prevent
any untoward incident involving heavy vehicles.
Now therefore, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon me under Sections 115 & 116 of the
Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, I, Mamu Hage, IAS, District
Magistrate, North Goa do hereby order, restricting
movement of heavy and multi-axel vehicles on Dona
Paula-Bambolim road from 17-04-2023 to 20-04-2023
in order to prevent any untoward incident involving
heavy vehicles.

Section 112 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and
Rule 264A of the Motor Vehicles Rules, 1991 as
amended in 2005 and as recommended by the Dy.

‘Speed Breaker Ahead’ at about 40 mts. on the left
side of the road at the placement of the Speed
Breaker in order to regulate the motor vehicular
traffic.
The Secretary Village Panchayat Dhargal and
the Secretary Village Panchayat Varkhand-Nagzar,
Pernem, is directed to publish this notification
through the Director of Information and Publicity
in newspapers and P.W.D. to take necessary
arrangement to erect the signboards at the places
indicated above as per the specification laid down
by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways
and as published in the Official Gazette by the
Government of Goa and report compliance within
thirty days time.
