Traffic (North), Altinho, Panaji-Goa.
Whereas, in view of the execution of National
Highway-66 Elevated Corridor Project from Sanjay
School at Porvorim to Sangolda junction is proposed
to be executed in the last week of January, 2024.
And whereas, Dy. Supdt. of Police, Traffic (North),
Altinho, Panaji, vide his letter referred above has
requested to ban entry of all Heavy Goods Vehicles
into Goa via Patradevi for a week w.e.f. 08-01-2024
to 13-01-2024 from 06.00 hrs. to 22.00 hrs. and these
heavy goods vehicles to enter Goa via Banda-
Dodamarg-Bicholim.
Now therefore, I, Dr. Sneha S. Gitte, IAS, District
Magistrate, North Goa do hereby prohibit entry of
all Heavy Goods Vehicles into Goa via Patradevi for
a week w.e.f. 08-01-2024 to 13-01-2024 from 06.00
hrs. to 22.00 hrs. and these heavy goods vehicles
shall enter Goa via Banda-Dodamarg-Bicholim.
1. The PWD shall put up necessary signboards
for the information of the vehicular traffic at all the
diversion points.
2. Notice shall be published in newspapers
regarding prohibition for information of public.
3. Concerned Police Station shall be informed
well in advance regarding the road closure/
diversion.

“Rumbler Strips” at about 40 mts. on either side of
the speed breaker in advance of the rumbler strips
and traffic signboard showing the sign “Rumbler
Strips” at the placement of the Rumbler Strips in
order to regulate the motor vehicular traffic.
The Sarpanch of Village Panchayat Karapur, Sarvan,
Bicholim-Goa, is directed to publish this notification
through the Director of Information and Publicity
in local newspapers to make necessary
arrangements to construct the Speed Breakers and
P.W.D. (Engineering Cell) to erect the signboards at
the places indicated above as per the specification
laid down by the Ministry of Road Transport and
Highways and as published in the Official Gazette
Series I No. 15 dated 15-07-2005 by the Government
of Goa and report compliance within thirty days
time.
