In pursuance of the provisions of Clause (c) of Section 60 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951

and on due consideration of the matter in consultation with the Government Administration of all States

and Union Territories, the Election Commission hereby notifies the persons employed in the essential

services as per Annexure-I (copy enclosed) as a class of persons to give vote by postal ballot on being on

Whereas, as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, New Delhi, rate chart has been

worked out for the purpose of maintaining ledger of accounts for election expenditure in connection with

the General Election to Lok Sabha, 2024.

And whereas, a meeting was held on 06-03-2024 at 12.00 p.m. along with the representatives of

recognized Political Parties to discuss and finalize the rate chart. The representatives of the Political

Parties submitted their suggestions for the rates and after considering the suggestions final rates are

notified for 29 items at Sr. 1 to 29.
